<WiCS Geaux Cash '25>

WiCS is proud to bring back our annual Spring Hackathon this semester!
Our hackathon is open to everyone. It is time to join the competition with your friends, construct a team of 2 ~ 5, and develop an application centered around our mysterious theme (to be announced)!!! This is a great opportunity for you to gain real experience centered around coding, teamwork, and build your resume!
If you're a beginner, you might be wary of competing against an experienced team — we feel the same way! To prevent these concerns, this year we will be introducing 3 difficulty levels for our entries to ensure that participants will go against others with similar skill sets!

FAQ

What is Hackathon?

A hackathon is a time-limited coding event where participants collaborate to develop a project based on a theme. It encourages innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving as participants develop solutions.

When and where?

It takes place on March 21st, 2025 6:00 PM CST ~ March 23, 2025 6:00 PM CST at LSU PFT 1100.

What is the theme?

IT'S A SECRET. Try guessing it.

What do I bring?

To survive, you only need your laptop, charger, and water bottle (and your keys!). We do strongly encourage bringing deodorant/perfume and jacket. In addition, if you want to be COMPETITIVE, bring a sleeping bag and a pillow.

Warning: We have seen plenty walking zombies at PFT on Sunday morning.

I have no coding experience. Can I still come?

Of course! In fact, if you have absolutely no experience, this is the perfect time for you to learn how to code!

Is it free?

Yes! It's free for all. In addition, we provide food, and there will be prizes at the closing ceremony!

I have a specific question...

You can contact WiCS via [email protected] or contact any officers on Discord Server!
